can we believe him ?

I am sincerely interested in how other people are thinking about the other aspects of global terrorism. Especially security and politics of how to defend the US and Europe against future attacks.
I think we spent too much, time, money, lives in Iraq. But the doves aren't convincing that if we just leave the Middle East everything will be okay. I'm expecting an attack on US soil within the next 5 years. Lets hope its a truck attack that gets stopped or something.
But the politics & language will change on that day. What is your position on the day after the next US attack?
How does that impact the presidential election if its before Nov 2024?
To me thats more interesting than how much you may or may not hate Bush.

I have read the recent topics on Campaign Finance Reform and special interests groups. I am a bit skeptical. Asking the Senators and other government officials to tackle these issues is like putting the fox in charge of the hen house. Our elected officials "tickle" our ears with pushing hot buttons like earmark reform, campaign finance reform and limiting the power of lobbiest and other special interests parties. However, has anyone other than me noticed how long these issues have been part of the canidates campaign platforms? Year after year, decade after decade - its the same story. Same outragious stories of abuse and corruption. Read the history books. There has been some attempts to address this in congress which has had limited affect. Why? Because the fox is in charge of the hen house. Do you think the fox is going to protect the hens and cut off his access to them?

Bush led us into war for the sake of security since he did not know what progress was. And after listening to the major party candidates, I dont see that they know either.
The essence of progress is *innovation*, that is thinking outside the box of the conventional lack of wisdom. But most of what I heard was candidates telling people what they knew the people wanted to hear. Progress is different. Things have changed.
News is spreading on the web that the witches really did have effective methods of birth control and abortion. There are herbs which produce 'miscarriages' on demand. We can move on; it dont matter what the court says.

Hello Friends, Today, my wife and I attended a rally in favor of overriding President Bushs' veto of the Child Health Insurance Program sponsered by Moveon.org.
Unfortunately, it was hastily assembled, and the attendance, or lack there of, suffered Greatly. But, no fault, no foul and about 40 folks showed up and spoke their mind, plus one,me, who spoke his Heart.
