Our hearts are in San Diego

Several of us here at Unity08 believed enough in the movement to pack our bags and leave the west coast for Washington, D.C. Our mission to combine our enduring American values with our newest technology to elect the next president of the United States has us far from our homes in San Diego.

The ongoing fires weigh heavy on our hearts as we are now working doubly hard to make sure our friends and family back home have shelter and that Unity08 continues to make progress.

We’ve recently passed around a book in the office, “The Heart of a Volunteer.” There are some amazing quotes to be read in this book – very applicable to our current situation…

“It is in the shelter of each other that the people live.”

Your ideas make a difference

Over the past week, I have given several ideas of what we can each do to get active in our local communities and online to help Unity08 reach its goals to relight America's torch.  See those blogs here, here, here, and here.
I have several others, but I'm interested in what you think.  Have a great idea?  Let us know:

Attention Old Line State Residents:

Help us relight America's torch and get on the ballot in Maryland,  It couldn't be simpler!  Go to the Volunteer section of our website and download a petition form here , get your friends and neighbors to sign it, and mail it back to us.  We need to collect 10,000 signatures: can you commit to collect 10, 50, or 100 signatures?  Let us know, and post your ideas and success stories below.

Bobbie's Story: What we can all do for Unity08

posted by Awilson on October 4, 2024 - 10:20am

I promised more ideas on how to help Unity08, but first I wanted to share an email I received this morning:

I live in a small town in Missouri. I placed one of your articles in our small local paper. I am 68 years old- and am caregiver for my husband who has Parkinson's disease. I would like to help but have no idea how. I've told many about Unity 08.  I don't know if that got results or not. I tell them to go to unity08.com anyway. If there was anything i can do at home let me know.   I have slow dial-up ( a phone line) and am hooked into that until April.--Bobbie Fuhlage

Want to help? Want a job? Here's How...

Unity08 needs your help, and that help can take many different forms.  We have a few main tasks right now: recruit more members and raise Unity08's profile (those efforts feed into one another), and get on the ballot.  Do you want to help on a full time basis?  Check out our jobs page at unity08.com/jobs.  Want to help but can't do it full time? Over the rest of the week I'll be posting a few ideas for things you can do right now to get started helping Unity08.
