Unity08. A people's movement to take our country back.

In August and September, our members voted on the New American Agenda. Part of this vote was to set the foundation for the crucial issues which we believe must be addressed by those that will eventually seek the Unity08 nomination.

During that process, several of our members asked how they could suggest issues to be added to the ranking process. So, we asked for your suggestions on 09/18/07. Nearly 2024 of you replied with your suggestions which allowed to launch a poll on 10/02/07, where we identified the top issues to be added.

With the launch of the new web site coming at the end of the month, you will find that we have made some adjustments to the issues based on your feedback. The issues themselves have been clarified and we've increased the issues from 18 to 22 21.

The results were overwhelming; tens of thousands of you submitted your first vote on the American Agenda.

Those issues that you found to be most crucial are terrorism, health care, education, the integrity and accountability of public officials, illegal immigration, and energy supplies. Well over half the respondents listed them as crucial. Gun ownership, abortion rights, and gay marriage came in dead last in the rankings.

You’ve also scored the major candidates running for president well below what you believe to be the minimum level of leadership for the job. All six frontrunners were rated a 2.9, or less, while the Unity08 process to determine a candidate team was rated as a 4.87.
