Good balance. Both creative thinkers.
They are both interested and loyal to America by wanting the millions of illegal aliens deported back to their countries.
Both men have strong convictions and a track record of working to find common ground between right and left. Both know how to get things done in a bipartisan manner and neither is given to false posturing just to score points over an opponent. I believe that each can work within their party to build consensus around a moderate agenda and get our government working again...
The Greatest Sons of the Greatest Generation.
To me Hagel, Webb, and Zinni are grown ups that would avoid partisan politics for the good of the American people as a whole. Obama represents a needed generational and non-partisan change. I also have a feeling that Elizabeth Edwards would be an ideal choice for some kind of leadership role.
Both have demonstrated ability to put their constituents interests ahead of their own.
both of these gentlemen connect with the people. Both Thomson and Lieberman are excellent speakers and students of the facts. Neither talk in political riddles and both still think America is a great country.
Strong records and vision.
Legislative and military experience, a desire to restore respect for America in the international community, personal integrity and, candor and a solid commitment to, and an understanding for the need to control government spending make Chuck Hagel an excellent choice for president.
Jim Hunts's demonstrated commitment to improving the American educational system, his understanding of agricultural issues and his respected position as the former four term governor of North Carolina, bring nee
Rudy Guiliani is an incredibly results-driven individual who accomplished wonderful things as mayor of NYC. Dick Lamm was a phenomenal Democrat Governor of Colorado (turned Reform Party Presidential candidate) who had innovative ideas.
Experience, Integrity, Intelligence
If it only were about breadth and depth of vision and experience...
Chuck Hagel or John Edwards would each make an excellent President. Nancy Pelosi has demonstrated in a few short months that she has the courage and ability to get things done. Often at the expense of the white house's comfort level.
Hagel- honest, forthright. sound judgment. Huckabee- core values, governor. Obama- intelligent, charismatic, open to change.
Biden- foreign policy experience
I think dedication and knowledge of environmental problems will be the basis of national security, domestic security, job growth, and public health as well as infrastructure. These two candidates seem to me to be a good mix of new ideas, hope, and experience.
This group has the experience to work coherently in a bi-partisan manner.
I believe while Fred and Joe might have differences they also are not polarized and can meet in the middle on key issues. I believe they will focus on the needs of the country and push the hardcore fringe elements aside in a wave of bipartisan support fueled by the peopel.
Just that so far they seem truly dedicated to the well-being of the country.
I find these two more representative of the country at large. They are both thoughtful and Snowe is a good legislator, a lost art today. Obama would be great to help change the image and the reality of our country. I completely agree with how he wants us to get out of Iraq.

Well, Barack Obama is the American Dream and John McCain has the experience. Both together will make our country great again. A country that is respected by our friends and feared by our enemies.
I believe Sen. Obama has the fresh ideas and ideals that this country and the Oval office need at this time and I think Sen. McCain has the experience in Washington to be a strong V.P. that could help implement some of the changes this country needs right now.I believe these two gentlemen could work together to bring this country forward.Lord knows we need it after the debacle that this whole administration has been.
John Edwards has experience and is not tied to any "machine". I love his stands on Iraq, taxes, and health care.
Olympia Snow is a "thinking Republican"! No ... that is not necessarily an oxymoron.
Bloomberg is a smart businessman who is not too stuffy and is and has a touch with ordinary people. Easley is a down to earth Governor who has kept his State progressing and is not partisan.
It's time to heal the nation. A dialog on race and violence as it affects our policies at home and abroad is imperative. Barack speaks to all people. Chuck understands the futility of war.
Dennis has been honest and forthright, and opposed to this disasterous invasion and occupation all the way. Ralph knows the ins and outs of corporate corruption and environmental issues, plus his "in your face" style is needed to cut through the political BS. Together they cover the major issues we face.
Someone with actual military experience might be helpful.
Best of both worlds
All of these individuals have strong convictions, and yet have shown a willingness to work across party lines for the good of the country.
I think these 2 guys really have a clue as to what is going on in the world. Not many of these politicians do. Also, they both have convictions they truly believe in.
Mike Huckabee strong governor of Arkansas. If he had more money he would be up there with Rudy & McCain. John Breaux is a Middle of The Road Democrat with strong leadership potential. Many call him a centruist. He builds bridges between people.
These people are to me, concerned about real issues most Americans are concerned about, and not the fringe issues of the loud, obnoxious, right wing. We desperately need true Americans that will do what is right for working men and women and not special interest groups.
We live in a dangerous world - both have extensive military experience. Both are respected across the isle. Both men grew up in different environments and bring a diversity to the ticket. Both men are smart, compassionate and honorable.
Independent minded, not bought by special interests.
Both have demonstrated a concern about the real problems facing our nation. Specifically that means protecting our planet by creating a sensible and sustainable envoirnmental policy, replacing unilateral war with world diplomacy, and returning our nation to a sustainable fiscal policy.
DW and Mitzi Ruswick
Oprah is intelligent and thoughful and Bill has the exerience.
perfect combo!
The selection for President represents a person with experience that has shown they can change perspective as situations change but also has a vision of a better future not just profit for ones friends at the expense of American life. The Vice Presidential candidate is former governor that has experience dealing with the administrative side of things. I believe we need both visionaries as well as boots on the ground administrators.
They don't appear to be adverse to working with orther party. They all seem reasonable and thoughtful.
They seem to have a genuine interest in bipartisan compromise and tackling large issues. Still more vetting is needed though.
I would love to see Newt as president but fear he will / does alienate too many Americans as a result of his intelligence and confidence being misconstrued as arogance. If I believed he had a real shot at winning, I would back him in a heart beat. He has a fantastic and optimistic vision for America based on the strengths of our American heritage and an understandi
Integrity, Integrity, Integrity,
Get out of the good ole boys club.
Both appear to be middle of the road types.
Two women for a change!!!!!
Both are liberal capitalists who can advocate policies that benefit all people. They are not subject to intimidation by the religious right. They have created more jobs than all the phony republicans in Congress who are career politicians.
They're all LEADERS!
These guys have shown their ability to work together on a bipartisan basis. They both have strong skills to lead the country in new directions.

Their independence and distance from Beltway solutions. Fred appears without "handlers" and Bill's new book tells The New American Story. Both would be willing to work on a bipartisan basis to solve the country's true problems.
