Although the Constitution does proclaim that presidential candidates must be natural born citizens, it is not necessarily in the best interest of the country and its residents. Just as the polarization of the two party system needs to change, so perhaps too, does Article II, Section 1. If the Rules are going to specify this under the necessity to follow the Constitution, this should simply state, "must meet Constitutional Requirements," more or less. Unity 08 is about electing a Bi-Partisan Ticket for President of the US. It’s not the about changing the US Constitution. Let’s take care to elect a ticket that can win, and let’s not start down the long road of changing the US Constitution. Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution is written the way it is because our Founding Fathers did not want any group from outside the US to infiltrate the US Government in the highest office of the land.
Unity is not in the business of changing the Constitution. They wish to use it to bring the parties back in balance. You seem to be well versed in the Constitution, maybe we can have a conversation on it sometime. If you don't mind me picking your mind on the subject.
