TERM LIMITS FOR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS

The way it is now all politicians want power and influence. They want to feather their nest and buy wotes with giveaways. They promote all types of social services, welfare and free programs. They know they will be able to buy the votes of everyone who benefits from these programs. They have created great healghcare for them and a very licretive retirement. They ljove Lobbiests and all their wining and dining and expensive gifts the Lobbiests give to politicaans. The politicians should be concerned with the welfare of the country as a whole and protecting and defending the constitution.
They have become involved with many matters that are not authorized under the constitution. They use bribes and intimidation to usurp the powers that belong to the individual States. This would get rid of many of the problems in this country if we put term limits on Congress.

term limits on Congress are one of many important reforms our governmental structure needs. No consecutive terms and no more than two terms in a single decade for Representatives, and no more than one Senate term in a fifteen year period. Also, we should not allow someone whose term is just ending in the House to run for Senate, or vice versa, or for any sitting Congress person or governor to run for President. When your term is up, you must sit out at least two years before you can run for anything! We need a government made up of citizens, who will work for citizens' issues, and without making it impossible to be a career politician, we will not have that.

Just because empire is an ugly word doesn't mean you don't live in one.
