A recent email I received from Unity08 says, "You do not believe that any of the current candidates running meet the minimum qualifications needed to successfully lead the country." Well, I in fact DO happen to believe that one of the current candidates (Barack Obama) not only meets, but exceeds, the qualifications to lead our country. Is Unity08 still for me? Also, are we committed to putting both a Democrat and a Republican on the ticket? I guess I'm just a little confused about the overall objective here....

We were told the delegates will create the issues making up the Unity08 political platform. Now it seems somebody at headquarters decided they would be better at it than us mere delegates.
We were told the delegates would vote on the crucial issues to be placed on Unity08's political agenda. Now we find out only a 10% sampling of those who voted on those item were counted.
If Barack Obama somehow fails to win his party's nomination, I, for, one would love to see him continue his run for the presidency on Unity08 ticket...but I am not at all convinced he would be nominated here in a fair, open and transparent election.
