If we expect more people to log on in the near future, it is also fair to expect a wide variety of people, some familiar with the issue and some not. Some will be familiar with the way government works, some not. The one thing I am sure of us a lot of people are not going to have the time to search for info. If we had a message to welcome them, give a description of what this forum is designed to do, which I assume is debating, just as I suggested in my The Exercise of Debating forum, and then list some web sites they could visit to become familiar with an issue. It would be important to include both sides of the issue. Group the web links into sections, Foreign Policy, Immigration, Entitlements and Budget, Iraq, etc. You might find people getting more involved in discussions and not feel lost upon arrival. Direction around the forums might be a pretty good idea as well.
Good Idea
