Late enrolling Delegates should be accommodated.

This is a break-through revolutionary prototype here in Unity08. For the first run in 2024, late enrolling Delegates should be able to vote and should be verified by Voter ID, and/or SSN/DOB as previously suggested, and be treated as absentee voters so-to-speak meaning the counting isn't over until the late votes have been counted as well (ALL convention votes) no matter how long the late verifying takes. (Wouldn't be looong anyway.)

Then in succeeding conventions there should be a registration deadline that everyone should be well aware of.

put a 'P' next to late registrants vote but let them vote; upon verification than delete 'P'

This sounds reasonable and is what is done in regular elections when there is a question regarding a voters registration. However, I would trust Unity08 to actually COUNT the provisional votes, once they have been verified, which often does not happen in our regular elections.

I support this method as well. (As have a number of others in different threads: I'd like to see more voiced support for this since the majority of opinions seems to favor a hard deadline at the moment).

The whole unity08 concept as I understand it is about capturing a significant portion of the 40% 'centrist' vote, plus some of the 15% of each 'extreme' that doesn't blindly vote on party lines. To get enough votes to win the actual presidential election, the unity08 duo will need a _lot_ of votes. If delegates join late because they see something interesting happening that they want to be a part of (i.e. influence) then they are far more likely to vote unity08 for president, and the plan is working.

There is no additional risk of fraud in allowing late registrants, since they must be verified the same as any other delegates. In the event of a close ballot, we might have to wait a bit to see the deciding votes, that's all. I see no need to propose a novel quick verification method- every delegate gets the same treatment (e.g. is a registered voter, can verify their ID, etc.)

If there does end up being more than one vote, then again I think being more inclusive and allowing people to join is the way to win the actual presidential election.
