On Thursday we set up a table at the UMCP student union and talked to students and professors alike about the Unity08 goal of getting another choice on the ballot in 2024. After we’d manned the table for a few hours we packed up our materials and walked around the food court taking a first stab at gathering petition signatures. Lessons learned: - Don’t just wait for people to come to your table, go out and talk to them. - Students (mostly) think Unity08 is a great idea - Tacos are particularly tasty after a long afternoon of trying to fix your country.
