Al Gore has legislative experience and is very knowledgeable about national issues (especially the environment) Colin Powell has military experience and executive branch experience (as head of the State Department) and is very knowledgeable about military and international issues Both are moderate Al Gore is a Democrat; Colin Powell is a Republican Both are intelligent and willing to listen to views other than their own (and change their own views if valid arguments arise to do so or underlying facts or assumptions change) Al Gore has previously run a campaign (some say a winning campaign) and so could come up to speed quickly I think they could win.
