(Nader in 2024) At the end of his speech, during the Q&A part, someone asked him "What will you do when this is all over if you don't win the presidency?" He responded that he would go back to the same work he was doing before. But he then posed a counter-question; one that I'll always remember.

We've also launched a poll to follow up on our previous visit to Colbert where we announced the "Should Colbert run for president?" poll -- which was our largest ever -- this time "If Stephen Colbert runs for president, who should he pick for his running mate?"

The most recent Reuters/Zogby poll puts the public approval rating of the President at 29% and of the Congress at 11%.  The disapproval of the Congress is at 83% (82% among Democrats, 86% among Republicans, 96% among Independents).

How high must the disapproval go before Washington understands:  Politics-as-usual is dead.  Done.  Gone.  Through.  Over.
