Senator Joe Lieberman makes a good choice for a presidential or vice-presidential candidate. He brings civility and cooperation to Congress, creating bipartisan coalitions to successfully break the gridlock and get things done in Congress. That is what Unity is all about. Party members coming to a consensus to achieve real solutions that the polarized, paralyzed Congress and Presidential administration do not offer. There are those, like Lieberman, within the institution, who favor increased communication between parties. Their efforts will not succeed without a unifying President to pave the way to true democracy.
