Is it already too late or can the slide towards fascism be reversed? Does anyone seriously expect that the next Resident, regardless of party, won't use and extend the Executive Power that this administration has by precedent set? And given the soft and spineless nonexistent push back of this legistature to remove the current Residents and continued capitulation to the power grabs of this administration in its disdainful usurption of the Constitution can we expect any real movement away from the abyss?

Where are the true Patriots like Barbara Jordan whose words are instructive for today? As a junior member of the House Judicary Committe she spoke these words in her statement on The Articles of Impeachment of Richard Nixon. "My faith in the Constitution is whole; it is complete; it is total. And I am not going to sit here and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction of the constitution."
