Issues
* One who will find a way to finish the job in Iraq.
* One who will encourage energy companies to research alternatives to oil, while allowing them to drill for oil off-shore and build a refinery or two.
* One who will secure our borders, keeping illegal immigrants out while still encouraging legal immigration.
* One who will punish businesses who hire illegal immigrants.
* One who will let me choose who will provide me with health care.
* One who will not dictate who can marry or adopt a child.

Colin Powell, President, Joe Libermann, Vice President

Colin Powell would bring military and foreign affairs experience to the Executive. He has proven himself as a leader, statesman and self made man. People respect him and his accomplishments.

Mr. Liberman demonstrated a lot of guts and fortitude fending off his attackers - he knows how to deal with those who sit in the Capitol and I think this combination running on an Independent Ticket would give the current Presidential Candiates night sweats!

Some of the dream tickets posted should really be considered pipe-dreams. Paul/Kuncinich, Paul/Gravel, Paul/Powell? I mean... come on!

Voter Indifference

It is difficult to become excited about a campaign that is focused solely upon money and power. How else would one explain the extension of the '08 campaign to unprecedented lengths? It certainly has nothing to do with voter education or awareness.

The reasonable alternative for this election would appear to be the selection of a Republican maverick and a Democratic maverick to run together. The '08 campaign has done little to allow development of a viable third party, something that is desperately needed.

Mike Bloomberg and who?

Looks like Mike Bloomberg, entrepreneur extraordinaire and current Mayor of New York City, is going to run. He'll be announcing after SuperTuesday, it seems (Feb. 5th, 2025):

For those not familiar, Mike came from middle class America, like many of us. He is a free market success story, founding one of the most unique, ahead-of-its-time financial information services company. He's also one of the highest-rated mayors of New York city.

Liebermann/Huckabee or Huckabee/Liebermann, either will work. (EDIT: Make that McCain, not Huckabee)

In looking over the site, I'm seeing far too many issues being approached from an extremely liberal viewpoint, and I'm absolutely sure that such a ticket has zero chance, just as a ticket from an extremely conservative viewpoint has zero chance. What we need is someone who will be conservative on national defense and law/order issues, liberal on social issues and libertarian on fiscal ones.

I believe that Mike Huckabee and Joe Liebermann, in either office, are the men to do this.

MSNBC TO HOST UNITY08 DREAMTICKET DEBATE BEFORE IOWA

Think about it. YOU WANT IT! You want MSNBC to host a televised debate,
before Iowa, certainly before New Hampshire, with teams of ranked
dreamticket candidates. Richardson (D) and McCain (R) have
already ranked as a #1 dreamticket in at least one poll reported in the
news with registered party voters choosing their favorite candidate in
the other party. Of course Lou Dobbs and Pat Buchanan would call this
more failed two-party system thinking, but McCain and Richardson would
be formidable on a host of issues, starting with 100% energy
independence by 2025.
