Rule 3.6 (new) to allow for a "Team of Equals" candidacy

Historically, candidates never announce their candidacy for the Vice Presidency. They always announce for the Presidency.

Americans yearn for Presidential and VP candidates who are willing to work on a bipartisan basis, but no strong candidate wants to play second fiddle.

It should be possible for two candidates of different parties to declare and run together as a "Team of Equals" and let the Unity08 delegates decide which one is the Presidential nominee and which the Vice Presidential nominee.

This would greatly promote bipartisan unity by bringing together two strong candidates, from both parties, who share a common vision and a willingness to work together. It would expand democratic alternatives by empowering the Unity08 delegates.

The name of the Democratic Party is no "Democrat"

Many Democrats take it as a mild slur to refer to the "Democrat" party: the correct term is "Democratic."

I believe two independent candidates should be able to run together as they have no commitment to any party.

Nomination Procedures to Use if we are Serious About Winning

We must each decide in our heart of hearts why we are here. Is this all a publicity stunt? If not, we should not be wasting each other’s time. Is this a way to split off support for Hillary or Rudy? If so, it is unconscionable. Are we making a political statement? If so, it must be a darned good statement about either returning the government to the people or seeking common ground. We need to ask ourselves if we are serious about winning, for if we truly find common ground on the divisive issues of the day, like taxes and abortion, we will be victorious.

If we are serious, we must go beyond nominating a candidate for President. There are two reasons for this.

1. why not take the vice president from the already-agreed candidates, and just say preisdent is one with most votes and vice president is one with second most votes?
2. I disagree on the party requirements - this new paradigm should seek to get awsay from established ideas of political parties, and membership in the old parties should not necessarily be a requirement nor disqualification

I like these guys, both are into protecting personal liberties and one is a Republican and one is a Democrat. Often I see very little difference in the two parties and I tend to vote for a third party. I am posting this here because I can not seem to be able to figure out how to nominate on this site. A potentialy great site that seems not at all user friendly.

I don't know if anyone has listened to Dennis Millers radio show but he seems like a resonable man. I agree with him on most issues except the enviornment and his support of Bush. He is intelligent and willing to listen and appreciate different views from his own. He would get my vote.

Leiberman/Bloomberg

Leiberman's a congressional insider. He knows how the system works. And, he remains loyal
to the principles that have guided him as opposed to John McCain who's surrendered his
principles. Bloomberg, another Independent, appears a man dedicated to the best interests
of the country. This ticket, if successful, would give us 8 years of a Leiberman presidency
followed by 8 years of Bloomberg as Commander in Chief.

Any candidate after being listed on the balot must be required to notify Unity08 in writing of his or her confirmation that if elected they will serve.

You are on this site because you are already a voice of dissent regarding the deluded and deceiptful system of Plutocracy in this great nation. I will not repeat all the obvious facts.

I believe radical change is necessary. I believe the first steps toward that change are placing people of broad understanding and experience into roles of leadership with the specific charge for change.

In this mission I can select several brilliant minds in this nation, but they must also be strong defenders of their insights and capable of convincing arguementation.

My current choices lead me to Camille Paglia, a professor and writer of depth and mind opening reserach with the courage to state unconventional interpretations of great merit and achievment.

As her running mate, a man whose life long perspicacity has yeilded such great insights as to have him run out of this nation by that very same Plutocracy.
