James Strock is a writer, speaker and entrepreneur based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He has extensive experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors, as well as in local, state and national political campaigns.
Strock is the author of Theodore Roosevelt on Leadership (Crown/Random House) and Reagan on Leadership. He has been a guest on numerous national television and radio programs, and has written for and been quoted in many publications.
He served as the founding Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency in Governor Pete Wilson’s cabinet, as well as Assistant Administrator for Enforcement of the U.S. EPA in Washington, D.C. under President George H.W. Bush.
Strock was educated at public and private schools in Austin, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana, and at Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He served to captain in the USAR-JAGC.
