Formulating rules

The Unity08 Rules Committee is finalizing its initial recommendation for how the first ever online political primary will become a reality. That includes complex technical matters like determining the criteria for being a delegate, how voter registration status will be verified, and how the process will be kept secure.

It also will include areas such as how the online primary will work, how candidates will make known their interest in running for the Unity Ticket, how they will choose running mates, and how the official Unity Ticket will ultimately be chosen by Unity08 delegates.

Early in the new year, the Rules Committee will post draft rules on the website with mechanisms for feedback and ongoing revisions. Expect to hear more soon.
